Peterson Butte Hike
Peterson Butte, just west of Lebanon, provides some of the best views around the valley. Thanks to the kindness of the owners, Build Lebanon Trails is allowed to sponsor a hike to the top of this landmark butte. This hike covers a distance of 2.5 miles with an elevation gain of around 1,000 feet. Most of the walk is forested. The trail is muddy in spots. There is usually poison oak along the route, so keep an eye out. Note that weather can change more quickly on the butte. Bring snacks or a lunch to eat on top of the butte while admiring the beauty of Lebanon and surrounding areas. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars! Special notes Children are welcome. No pets for this event, please. Wear appropriate hiking gear and please consider if you are in adequate physical condition to walk both up and down a steep trail. Please respect the land and the privacy of the landowners so we can continue to hold this hike in future years. Please arrive between 830am-9am for registration.
