Empowering Everyday People--Running for Office

Learn the basics of running for office. Whether you're thinking of launching a run or want to know how to support those that have, you'll pick up some valuable information on Friday! Presentation will be given by Lebanon resident Sarah Morris-Carr, Oregon State alumnus with a bachelor's degree in economics, concerned citizen and mother of 2, defender of democracy, business professional. Q&A to follow. Next up will be Jason Bolen, Lebanon resident since 1994 and currently a Division Chief for Lebanon Fire Department, Optimists Club President and first-term Lebanon City Councillor. Then we'll welcome Jim Gourley, who served 5 terms as Sweet Home mayor, 24 years on the City Council including as president pro tem, and is currently on the Sweet Home school board. Having run many successful campaigns, Jim brings his personal experience and knowledge to share with us. Have your questions and notepads ready--we've got answers!
