The COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing has created a “new normal” for many of us whose work, school, and social lives have transitioned to being online. For parents and other adults this can cause concern for the digital safety of our children who are spending more time than ever using the internet and social media. This training educates and empowers adults to keep children safe in the digital age. It highlights digital trends and teaches adults and parents how to proactively participate in children’s internet experience, how to communicate effectively with children of all ages regarding online safety, and how to utilize parental controls and additional protection measures to keep kids safe online. We will incorporate discussion so that participants can share their experience, tips, and tools.
