She will share with us about this wonderful local non-profit organization. “Speaking For Those Who Can’t”. They provide lifetime sanctuary or adoption to neglected/abused equine, livestock, and hospice dogs. In addition to rescuing and caring for animals, they offer therapeutic services for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, post-traumatic stress disorder, and those in addiction recovery. GUEST SPEAKER: Elaine Oostra is from Parma, Idaho. Through her story entitled, "Trials that Refine Me, One Brick at a Time," she shares her struggles and pain growing up with a mother who suffered from mental illness.
