Lower income students receive breakfast and lunch at school during the week. For some, this is the only food they have access to. This program provides hunger packs on Fridays full of food that's easy to fix. This allows the kids to have access to preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the weekend. It costs approximately $40 a month to feed one child. This program is currently serving 5 schools in Lebanon and has 75 families that partake in the Hunger Packs. Without these packs the children would likely have nothing to eat over the weekend. It's so hard to believe and understand that this problem exists but it is real and lives right here in our community. The Gillott Home Team will be collecting food and supplies for the Lebanon Kid Packs on Saturday from 10 to 4 in the Home Town Furniture Parking Lot. Your contribution will go a long way to support our local children. We try to keep the food packages light so the kiddos can carry them in the back packs All donations should be non-perishable. Helpful donations include; Back Packs Top Ramen Boxed Macaroni and Cheese Peanut Butter Apple Sauce Packaged fruit Tuna in a pouch Packaged cheese and crackers or peanut butter and crackers Fruit Snacks Nuts
