Onboarding: Making New Employees Successful

Onboarding introduces industry best practices for welcoming new employees and helping them be successful during their first year. Learn how to ensure a smooth transition and reduce new employee turnover. This luncheon is appropriate for new or seasoned managers.

Erin Holbrook, GCDF is a Learning and Development Specialist for the Oregon Employment Department. Joining the department in 2009, she worked in the Eugene WorkSource Office prior to joining the human resources team. Erin earned a B.S. in Graphic Design and M.S. in Adult Education with specializations in training and human resources development. Her background includes experience in staffing, telecommunications, higher education and manufacturing as a Trainer and HR Specialist. She is an active member in the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) – Cascadia Chapter. Her expertise includes coaching, career development, talent management, and performance management.
