Time Management
This course discusses the techniques and approaches to personal time management. Hands-on experience with value clarification, prioritization of tasks, maintaining to-do lists, and short and long term planning aids. After completing this course, participants will understand the basic definition of time and time management, know how they presently use time, and be aware of the portion of time over which they have control (both personal and professional time). In addition, participants will make the most effective use of the time they control, and handle time not under their control in a more efficient way.
Joining the Learning and Development Team in 2004, Grant Axtell began his career at the Oregon Employment Department coordinating, developing, and delivering training for the launch of the three UI call centers. Grant holds degrees in public policy and administration and speech communication from Western Oregon University. His areas of expertise include customer service, leadership development, generational diversity, and facilitation. Grant is an active member of two professional organizations: International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). He currently serves on the board of the Oregon IAWP Chapter as Vice-President and is the President of the ASTD-Cascadia Chapter serving Oregon and SW Washington.
